GRITS

"Do it Again?”.... Well to some that may be the reaction, but most already know without question GRITS, Teron "BONAFIDE" Carter and Stacy "COFFEE" Jones (backed by in-house production team The Replacements) out of where else but Nashville, TN are seasoned vets when it comes to staying "Fresh" in an ever changing music industry.

"Quarantine" their 11th and said to be last group project serves to be more of a beginning than an end. Ironically, the lead single "New Life"{featuring Annie Peters-Williams & Brennin Hunt, gives the impression that these guys are just getting started. " It's crazy because it almost feels like a death in the family or something that you were prepared for, so it's easier to mask your emotions about it.", states Bonafide.

With songs like "We all we got", "OMG" (featuring JDash), and "Nuance Music" the masks definitely come off with the gloves and you remember why we hope they're just bluffing retirement. "For me this album puts me in the mind of Art of Translation (Gotee, 2002), we had a lot going on back then personally and it translated through songs like "Ooh Aah" which is our biggest record and song to date", Coffee says.

It's definitely not hard to tell GRITS march to the tune of a "Different Drum" (featuring Verbs) while "Neverland" (featuring Jade Harrell & IZ) and "Outta Body" are just a couple of the many examples of what keeps the duo set apart from the monotony. Although they may feel it's time to move on, from the sounds of it the kitchen's not closed yet.
